Hola, soy Jose y soy originario de la delegación Tláhuac en la ciudad de México; desde hace 9 años radico en Carolina del Norte, Estados Unidos. Las razones por la cual decidí migrar a otro país fueron varias, pero las principales son prácticamente las mismas que llevan a otros migrantes alrededor del mundo a buscar nuevas oportunidades.
Les quiero compartir un poco de mi familia y la economía donde mi lugar de origen.
Mi papa es originario de Zacatecas y mi mama es originaria de puebla, en su juventud decidieron migrar a la Ciudad de México en busca de un mejor estilo de vida, cabe destacar que cuando ellos migraron a la ciudad de México avia una gran demanda de trabajo y una economía prometedora (la década de los 70s). Se conocieron, se casaron y tuvieron cinco hijos (entre ellos yo). Todo iva bien hasta que se presento la década de los 90s, el peso mexicano se devaluo, la economía se vino abajo, a consecuencia de esto mis padres perdieron la mayoría de su patrimonio, cerraron sus negocios y de este punto se comenzaron a complicar las cosas.
Los pocos ingresos de mis padres, mi hermano con adicciones y mi hermana recién diagnosticada con esquizofrenia, fueron las causas por las cuales decidi dejar de estudiar y empezar a trabajar. Con mucho entusiasmo lo hice, pues yo solo quería ayudar. Meses más tarde me di cuenta que con lo que me pagaban en una herrería como ayudante y sin experiencia, no iba a ser suficiente para poder hacer una diferencia en mi familia.
Mis bajos recursos y sin tener una cedula profesional era 100% seguro que en la embajada de los Estados Unidos no iban a dar ninguna clase de visa, por lo cual contacte a un primo que vivía en Carolina del Norte, para que me ayudara financieramente a cruzar de manera ilícita. Se contactó con mi primo el cual les pago 3500 para que alguien me llevara con él, mi primo cedió y me trasladaron a una casa en Phoenix Arizona, donde me tuvieron por dos días. Cuando me subieron a una Silverado color vino y me confirmaron que me llevan con mi primo, fueron unas de las palabras que más he disfrutado. Yo tuve que viajar en el piso de la camioneta, pero eso no me importaba, ya que solo quería llegar a un lugar donde me sintiera seguro, después de largos tres días y mal pasado me dejaron afuera de la casa de mi primo, donde me tenía un sofá donde dormir y comida.
